ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

In accordance with our core values, Aroona Drilling aims to have a clean rig, a safe rig, a rig that performs and a rig to be proud of. To achieve this Aroona Drilling strives to use natural resources responsibly and the minimise the environmental impact of our activities. This involves utilising energy efficient options in our operations and applying environmentally sustainable approaches where feasible.

Team members are to minimise their environmental footprint, including applying the hierarchy of waste prevention measures; avoid, reduce, recycle and reuse of all materials. Examples include:

• Team members are to consider the most efficient use of energy and seek opportunities to reduce energy consumption in their workplaces. This includes switching off lights and equipment when not in use.

• Projects which improve energy efficiency with payback over the lifetime are to be given preference.

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions

• Team members are to minimise travel and utilise video or teleconferencing options when available and appropriate.

• Where possible, Aroona Drilling will choose fuel-efficient vehicles with team members driving them in such a manner to efficiently minimise fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Recycling or minimization of waste

• Team members are to avoid creating waste and use recycling options wherever possible consider the environment before printing e-mails or other documents.

• Team members are to incorporate techniques to reduce and recycle solvents.

• Team members are to seek opportunities to reduce chemical intermediates and active substances in wastewater discharges.

Efficient use of water

• Team members should always consider the most efficient use of water and identify possibilities to reduce water usage in the workplace.
